S ince its establishment in 1989, our kennel has endeavoured to produce Border Collies which excel in type, soundness and temperament while still maintaining the breed’s natural tractability and desire to work – whether that “work” involves the show, herding or performance arenas.N ahrof Border Collies are being actively and successfully campaigned in show and performance rings both in Australia and internationally and a growing number have also proved that, although separated from their ‘working’ ancestors by many generations, they have not lost their natural ability to herd. Our foundation bitches were Gotrah Celtic Brie CD TDX (1986-2003) and Aust Ch Kantalpa Tuxn Tailz (1988-2001) and the success of our kennel has been based on progeny bred from these two great (very much missed) Borders.
Gotrah Celtic Brie CD TDX Aust Ch Kantalpa Tuxn Tailz The other bitch to feature in our early breeding success was Aust Ch Wiralee Moon Shadow - now enjoying her retirement years with Joy's mum Lorna. To date, the honour roll for Borders carrying the Nahrof Prefix includes:

Our stud dogs & breeding bitches
are x-rayed and hip scored under an approved scheme and since 1993 all
litters have been eye tested.
We now also conduct DNA tests for CEA, Ceroid Lipofuscinosis and TNS and details
of these results are available on the above health stats page. | During the past 18 years, we have shared an exciting journey with our Borders, from the whelping box to the winners podium, and through them, we have met many wonderful people both here in Australia and overseas. We look forward to more of the same success and enjoyment in the years to come. |
